4221. Form and content of petition. A petition for redetermination of the application of this chapter shall be in writing and be sent to the departmentor its designee. The petition shall state the specific grounds upon which the petition is founded and include supporting documentation. The petition may be amended to state additional grounds or provide additional documentation at any time prior to the date that the department issues its order or decision with regard to the petition for redetermination.

History—Added by Stats. 2011, Ch. 8x1 (ABx1 29), in effect July 8, 2011. Stats. 2014, Ch. 895 (AB 2048), in effect January 1, 2015, substituted "A" for "Each" before "petition for redetermination" and substituted "or its designee" for ", the board, and the State Board of Equalization" after "sent to the department" in the first sentence.
